Question personal websites
We are mostly all digital-mind types here, with similar interests in gadgets, technology, free stuff & more. Recently a few posts like family-tree, pc help, free hosting requests, people using their broadband free web space, ftp uploads, forum creating, etc etc got me wondering.....

How many here create & build their own web pages, or how many would like learning, or how many have no interest?
I dont mean like adding pictures to facebook or changing your myspace blah blah, i mean muck about with html or web build software to build your own -personal or business. I know we'll have some professionals here but what about hobbyists and part-timers?

So i set a poll and would like your thoughts please?


....edit.... and i also noticed we havent had any polls in here for a while. Have we had any this month yet?

i have a web page that i done but it not much to look at it has vb running on it and a few other bit and bods but it was buit just so i could work out how to do it

Apart from that I use the internet for putting my lotto on and periodic masturbation.

I selected "I have my own webpage that I build myself"

Don't read too much into that lol
I bought my domain name last week and got 100mb server space (I think)
All I've managed so far is a "web page under construction" on the home page.
Not bad for someone who knows nothing about html lol
I used ms publiser and simply edited one of the ready made templates.
I then got a free trial ftp client and uploaded it.
I made a few edits via ftp and found it surprisingly easy. It was similar to the cas interface, so things looked familier.

Not too sure what I'm going to use it for tbh, it's just another project at the moment. Pobably be an online photo gallery for family to look at, not sure really.

I'm going to do some playing around with it and plenty of reading in the coming weeks.

I build my own websites for personal and business use.
There are lots of guides to find help with making web sites for the people who are stuck.
If anyone needs help making a website, I would be glad to offer support and advice..

Guys, just a word of advice - it isnt a great idea to post your own URLs here.

This site deals with a lot of... interesting topics and it doesnt take more than 20 seconds to get someones personal details from a URL...
