Laptop cursor

Hello,

Not a problem really but something that starting to pee me off..

Anyway bought a new acer laptop yesterday..


when i move the gel mouse pad thing it zooms the page mega big.. not the text but the page.. it always goes up to 400%.. i cant seem to work out how it does it..

is there anywhere this can be turned off..

oh yeah os vista, thanks in advance.

You might have inadvertently switched Magnifier on.


Click Start and in the Instant Search field, type magnifier. You can change the scale factor, dock position and tracking options.

not solved it though.. this only zooms on websites when moving the cursor..

Are you sure you aint accidently clicking on the magnifier immediately above the clock time. I have zoomed things before with that and forgot to put it back down to 100%.

The Zoom feature also works if you hold down CTRL and roll the scroll wheel; is it possible the CTRL key is sticking; or maybe you have Sticky keys on?
