Hi all,

This is my 1st post in this forum and i have browsed the stickies + the www but i'm still not getting what i'm sposed to do to fix my problem - doh

I have a bricked 47dj drive but i do have the original.bin saved before it was bricked, this has the key associated with it and the mobo. Btw this was bricked whilst trying to flash modded fw ( classic style ) and the pc / hitachi drive just locked 50% through the flash.

So I ordered another drive (46dj) and from what i understand need to inject the key from the 47dj, mod the new drive fw and spoof the drive to represent the 47dj again.......

1stly is this process right?

2ndly what do i need to do..step by step ( i am 40 you know lol ) i can get the drive into mode b no probs its what i do after that and if i have to use a dvd in the 46dj to make it work. Thats what i think bricked the 47dj i heard the disk spin up when flashing started then lock up....

Next i wish to try to mod the 46dj fw to play backed up games, can this all be incorporated into the process above?

Lastly....if anyone knows anyone here who can repair a bad flash then i would love to know... a spare drive will always be handy....as i've learnt to my own cost lol

Get new drive in modeb, open toolbox.

Hack the 47 as you normally would, dump, smart hack patch, flash.

Open old 59 f/w

Copy Key

Redump new drive

Paste key (click set key)

Tools--->Direct drive flash (flash keys)

It will want to write 1 sector 90004000 [KEY SECTOR]

Once done, using same f/w already loaded, Spoof as v59 (tools-->spoof f/w)

Confirm message about 2 sectors changing

Tools-->Direct Drive Flash-->Flash Sting ID

It will want to flash master checksum and Drive String ID

Do so.

Job done.

You can flash keys + OSIG together, but, if you ever spoof as another drive, you should always do spoofing last.

Ive mentioned it this way incase anyone reads in - so they dont spoof and fook up

I will try this tonight and hopefully post a success story tomorrow lol. Could I just ask two more questions......

1/ Is a dvd required in the new drive when flashing?

2/ Is it Raw or classic that I use to dump and flash?

Sorry for being a plum but i so don't want to cock this drive up like i did the last one lol

Its a pre 78 - so classic mode.

Yes, unfortunately Maximus' tool does require a disc in the drive for the process.
