Hi guys , I've had a cis system for a couple of months waiting for my old cartridges to run out .so i finally got round to installing it today but i'm getting "ink cartridges cannot be recognized.Make sure the ink cartridges are correctly installed" Any ideas its a epson r360

Anyone ? Would it be worth swapping the chips from the original cartridges ?

You could maybe try putting them in and freezing the ink counters using SSC service utility, it's free so just Google it.

I had a problem like that with my r300 some so called compatible inks just dont get recognised in the end I had to bin em......

But you never know your idea may work.

He cant bin them 'CIS' is a continuous ink system which means ink is fed from bottles via tubes to 'dummy' cartridges.

Had a similar problem on friday night installing a cis on r1400 and after much pissing about found that i hadnt pushed the cartridges down far enough. Took a fair bit of pressure to get it clicked in properly. Once it was in and the cartridge light went out it took a good few inkjet clean cycles to get it printing properly.

Had a similar problem fitting CIS to my R300 - in my case it turned out
to be a thin coating of silicon grease on the contacts - wiped them clean
re-inserted, and they have been working well since.
Make certain the carts are seated correctly as they are a little awkward to
fit

These carts don't lock down when i insert them although i've tried pushing them pretty hard. They have the bit of plastic that would normally lock them down fitted but i've really pushed
and it feels like i'm going to break something if i push any harder .i'll give it another go and see if i can get them to click into place .Thanks for the replies guys
