Sorry young 'uns, but this thread ain't for you

I'm just wondering how people feel about being over 25 years old and still playing video games. I sometimes feel embarrassed as I feel it's kinda inappropriate for someone of my age (38) to be doing.

I always have a nagging guilt which is telling me to go out and cut the grass, or do something useful around the house instead of trying to kill that last bastard in COD5.

Anyone else feel kinda awkward when they 'confess' to owning a games machine and that they use it as a major source of entertainment?

i cant answer this one as im so young.

ill still be on the consoles at your age though witchy.

theres a little boy in everyone so i guess most will be still playing consoles.

I do find I just can't really get into games anymore (33) unless a few mates come round and we have a few beers, then it's a laugh but I wouldn't begrude anyone of any age who still gets pleasure out of it.

I kinda fell away aswell mate for a few years, everything bored me except for the odd PC game like Half Life and similar FPS.

Consoles I've never really been 'into' although the 1st Playstation definately got me hooked, after discoverting the Resident Evils and Silent Hill.

I've owned all the machines inbetween (mainly for the kids to use and for me to hack, lol) but I really love the Xbox360, it's completely reinvigorated my interest in games.
