Hiding cables when wall hanging a LCD Tv

I have a 37" LCD Tv that I want to hang on the wall , I already have a suitable wall bracket but the problem I have is how do u hide all the cables as I don`t fancy seeing several cables running down the wall for the power scart leads etc.
I thought about cutting a chase out the wall and then plastering them in but u would need very long cables and if u wanted to add anything later u would be stuffed.Does any-one know where to buy suitable cables or extention cables / junction boxes etc or any advice on how u hung yours on the wall without seeing all the crap would really be appreciated

    Regards

    Stu

I built a stud wall during a recent decorating project.
I can drop as many cables as I need down the back to a cupboard below containing my htpc and other stb's

The bracket is fixed with coach screws to the wooden studwork.

    There's a pic here.

You cant beat stud walls for hiding cables, ive seen a few new builds with them. As for hiding them if you dont fancy putting up a stud wall you could always use a cable tidy like here it beats all the cable anyday, its how ive got them in my bedroom.

Yup thats how I want it curly with the cables totally hidden but I don`t fancy putting up a false wall.
It will be mounted on a chimney breast with existing gas fire removed ,the hole bricked up and a new electric log effect fire attached to the surface of the wall (Low level).
I thought about knocking a hole into the chimney and dropping the cables down there and then knock another hole at the side but as stated b4 I would need pretty long cables unless u can get extention scart leads etc as the longest I have seen are just a couple of metres.
Also the wall at the chimney breast looks pretty dam thick and would take quite a bit to knock through but any sugestions are welcome as I want it to look the same as a picture would (just hanging there with nothing round about it)

    Regards

    That's what I had m8
I took the chimney breast out and you're right, fookin hard work !!!
Here are some more shots of the same wall.

Would you still be using scart leads or be switching to HDMI as you can get those in long lengths
