Im with that 1000% if someone wants to bet against me i put up ready money that they where in fact traders and that theres no need for your average home user to pay any attention to this post !!!, traders have been getting nicked for years theres plenty of cases , However i have Yet !! to see the average home user to get targeted for having the odd box or modem ,plz feel free to correct me with media links ,but ive no seen it !!

from what i can make out in the post it says that it is only a criminal offence if you don't pay anything to virgin. so if (like me) you have a minimum subscription you should be ok

These scare tactics come out every year, and its always the same. Big Brother is watching. VM are only interested in people that are trading and making large amount of money, not your small man trying to get a bit of free TV.

At least these people are paying some sort of a subscription.

I think the average joe would panic if only one copper knocked and the door, for 40 odd officers they were expecting some serious trouble. If they wanted to nick your average joe they could knock on the door any time not have to resort to dawn raids!

If Mr Branson has that kind of spare cash to enlist the services of 40 police officers to hit a few houses, would it not be a great idea for him to invest his money into clearing up some of our cities of the scum that beat up old people and savage one another for fun! this is a positive way of spending some of the millions he has and would be a positive asset to our country as we seem to now be run by a bunch of reprobates.Sorry for diversifying slightly from this post but there are far more important issues at hand than a few dodgey digy's.

What a complete and utter waste of police time, it would be interesting to see who sanctioned this raid and offset it against the amount of 'real' crime that occurred within that period, surely you cannot hire the the police, can you? Nearly forgot this is the UK

If they were VM boxes, its theft and at 200 units that a lot of money and god knows how many previous shipments they have had, I can see why the police took this seriously.

If on the other hand they were euro boxes then thats another story.
