I found a couple of virgin sim cards i had tucked away and want to use them for incoming calls
theres no credit on them so i cant just call another phone with them and get the number
is there a *# type code i can put into my samsung Z630 (i think it is) that will tell me the numbers

There should be a "my number" section once you put the sim in phone.

Borrow a Nokia (or whatever) and get the number from the My Numbers section in that.

VODAFONE CODE IS *#100# BUT I DON'T THINK IT WORKS ON VIRGIN.

i the samsug you should go into contacts then own number, on the d900i its there.

Dial 1579 where a recorded announcement will read out your number.

that number no longer works

If your going to use them, you will need to top them up anyway so why not just top up and get the number??? If you dont top them up for a while they will probably switch them off anyway...
