in the words of kanye west.... im coming home!
hey all, not been on for a while, been very very very very very busy with uni and not got any internet at home (DW blocked at uni LOL) im back at my folks and they just had ADSL installed so i got some sort of net now.
....for all those that moan at NTL's capping scheme...... try using ADSL!!!!!!!!!!! its a fooking joke, give me a throttled cable modem any day!
ive noticed my sniffer is still bouncing around, i not really had time to mess about with it (and i think i got rid of the code) but my phd project is based on the internet protocol so i might be able to have a go at it again (been developing NDIS drivers and converting the internet protocol stack into a component based service model at present)
also, i was bored in uni one day so i decided to read the docsis spec front to back (i was really bored!!!) and ive clocked a way to develop a new "hybrid" modem, trouble is, i dont know how to compile FW code..... i would prefer to develop my own modem circuit board and run XPe or CE, so if anyone can point me in right direction on how to do this, i should be able to grab supplies from uni
plus, its good to be back!! how are you all!?
p.s. admin... my dad tried to post a thread for me on here a while ago but couldnt for some reason, so if u wanna delete his account thats fine, his name is yosser6.
