got a problem where as every few weeks my image gets corrupted, normally I get the error message where as it says channel unavailble and cant even do a scan

reflashing the image on fixes the problem, this has happened with various images

do I have a duff box

Try turning sections/background scan off then red to save and reboot see if that helps.
