Feedback Score: 0 reviews | I have a FloppyDTV installed in my PC, latest drivers and updated firmware, Windows XP Pro/Vista dual boot. Trying to iron out the bugs in software before switching over to Vista and using a hard cam with the provided Media Centre. When I do a scan with the provided software it finds 72 tv channels and some radio channels (Approx. half of what is available on the DreamBox). None of the tv channels will display in the provided software - presumably because of the encryption. I installed MediaPortal and pieced together a .dvbc file using the files on my DreamBox. Did a scan and it found 122 tv channels which is a marked improvement on the previous 72 only. According to the MediaPortal Configuration all of the channels are encrypted (Red icon) yet when I open up Media Portal and go to My TV I can view some of the channels (From memory: The various flavours of EuroNews, British EuroSport, Setanta Ireland, Bubble Hits, City Channel, Channel Six, TV3, Discovery Channel, Discovery Knowledge). It got more bizarre - I installed Nagra, Fenrir and Yankse following the tutorial on the happysat forum and things looked good for about a minute. The keys found matched those on the DreamBox and then Dr.Watson reared its ugly head. It seemed that when ever Fenrir picked up the keys the error would occur and MediaPortal had to close. I made a copy of the .dvbc file, uninstalled MediaPortal, rebooted, re-installed MediaPortal and now I can't get the mdapifilter plugin to work. It won't pop up on the status bar no matter what I do. |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | when scanning in vista, only the fta channels show...you then go into settings - tv - guide - edit channels and you should see the encrypted channels. u have to then check the box to see the channel. |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | At present I'm using Media Portal on Windows XP Pro. I want to get the software cam version working before switching over to Vista and using a hard cam in Media Centrre. Apologies for not making this clear in the first post. When you say check the box, I presume this is in Media Portal Configuration >> Television >> TV Channels. In which case all the boxes are checked. The channel list shows up in "My TV" within Media Portal. The problem I'm having is getting the mdapifilter stuff working again. It hasn't worked since I first got the Dr. Watson errors. |

sorry m8 never used mediaportal went headfirst into vista with hardcam and card...took a bit of setting up but it's been fine since i set it up last october.... i used a softcam on my pc with mytheatre, xp pro but as i had a spare cam/card i now also set up a hardcam. as a few people have been having issues with the softcam and the recently frequent keyrolls i set my softcam back up and it works fine if i put the keys in manually but it looks as if fenrir doesn't auto-update any more - using v1.05.2 fenrir and v1.3.2.1/U TT Yankse cheers

Things like dboxes/dreamboxes etc tend to ignore the encryption flag and will always try to display a picture if they possibly can.

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | I've now acquired a Diablo cam, CAS3 and some cards from a guy in work for use over the weekend. I've downloaded the CAS Interface Studio 8.3a software and updated the cam to the latest Stealth I could find which was 2.32. I've also put all the Nagravision details I had on to the cam but have had no joy with it. I've went back to the software to try another approach, this time using My Theatre. Installed the software, added Fenrir and Yankse etc., went through the configuration and it picked up all of the channels (142). Opened up the Yankse and Fenrir windows to see whats happening and it appears that Fenrir is seeing the keys but not doing anything with them. For example Channel 6 appears fine in My Theatre, so I switch the channel to something that's encrypted and wait. Fenrir reports something like this: Code: 0080-[Nagra-PK] Provider:5401 NTL ROM:7
New Keys 0: 0**************B 1: 5**************6
First update
0080-[Nagra-PK] Provider:5401 NTL ROM:10
New Keys 0: 0**************B 1: 5**************6
First update
0080-[Nagra-PK] Provider:5401 NTL ROM:11
New Keys 0: 0**************B 1: 5**************6
First update
Where do I go from here? I'd like to get the software thing working before delving into the realm of hardware cams. I might try making a funcard for the Diablo but I can't see that working out either if the emulation isn't. |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | The keys I'm using have been taken from my DreamBox. The contents of the NagraKey.txt file came from RapidShare. What should the contents of SoftCam.key be? I don't have that file. I have a SoftCam.key.used which is empty. |

you edit the softcam.key.used file assuming ur in a pure nthell area like N 5401 00 8D19************** ;ROM7 AU Key Time Fri Jan 11 16:25:58 2008 N 5401 01 0AC0************** ;ROM7 AU Key Time Fri Jan 11 16:25:58 2008 and save it as softcam.key in ur plugins folder, obviously use latest keys to replace **
