Nintendo is discontinuing the Wavebird controller, so if you want to play GC games wirelessy, get one now.

The wavebird was one of the very first, first-party wireless controllers made, it uses RF and IR to remove the need for wires, it is also a near indestructable controller and so much better than third-party wireless controllers.

I have on on order now, so I can play MGS Twin Snakes. I would recommend anyone who wants a totally wireles wii get one now.

Incidentally, Nintendo also released the very first wireless control soloution called the Satellite. It was a 4 way IR adapter for the regular wired joypads.
