The SP3 is the problem.
MS have changed the way they do things. When you register your serial all your hardware details are logged by MS and specifically tie in to your original version of xp,therefore your key is valid. You do an upgrade but use the code then the hardware doesn't match and it flags. A code is uniquely assigned to a specific version.
You need to ring MS. Explain the situation and they will provide you a legitimate new key and your problem will be sorted. |
Thanks for the info I have some clean xp home disks but there dell versions and they also have trouble updating
Im wanting to sell these lappys on ebay etc so I just need some clean installs without using genuine xp cracks
think I will make a few phone calls I have genuine serials ? which ive paid for so im not doing out wrong - Why dont the give you xp disks when you buy lappys full stop - instead of the shitty recovery disks
