i tried the sp3 on its own, xp with integrated sp3 and xp on its own

in the end i just shut it all off and started again, and windows setup ran, pressed R for recovery and it started installing windows files

really pissed off with it all now, and gutted as fook, a virus has somehow gotten in, and taken down every computer in the house, ive already formatted 2 PCs (one 3 times) and my other laptop, and was really hoping i wouldnt have to with this one
Mate, if you want, I can upload my XP sp3 disc image? (I've got OEM or Retail, both are genuine, but I added sp3 with Windows Unattended CD Creator.) You would need to use your own PID to install XP...

How much data do you need to recover? If you want to ship it me, I can grab all your gear off it, burn it to DVD and send everything back to you? (Cover the p&p though please!)
