ah the good old slax cd, is that what you burn to cd and then close tray and let it spin for 20 seconds or so... I'm a bit confused now then as JF tut states that you have to eject drive and then click on "send mode B" but after using the slax CD that'll plop it into mode B i take it, so do you simply miss this part out.....

Wondering if i should just install the via 6421 driver in case any thing goes bottom up......
(come to think of it i have a another Hitachi drive here that needs the key taking from it and put on another one and that drive won't open or eject so i guess putting the via 6421 pci drivers would be more beneficial in a way then) and then any lite ons etc I'll just have to remove the drivers..... |
