Hi there. I\m new to cable so probably making a schoolboy error. But maybe someone can give me some advice? Here's what I've done so far.

I jtagged my 2100c to get the IRD and BK. I'm not sure if my offset in BKE was correct (I used 0x00564e78 for a virgin-software box in an ex-c&w area).

I made a AU funcard (v4) using CryptHexCW-v3.hex, following a tutorial I found.

When I put my funcard in the 2100c I get the error "sorry, your smartcard is invalid".

I was wondering what the most likely thing I did wrong was. Maybe I got the incorrect BK? Maybe I wasn't supposed to use "CryptHexCW-v3.hex"? Or maybe I'm supposed to get that message until the card has autorolled to the new keys? Can anyone offer any insight?

You've got the wrong bk mate try jtagging it again but search for the correct bytes for your area

yeah mate,you either have the wrong boxkey or ird,did you check ird from eng menu,just to be on the safe side

Yeah, I wasn't sure what to search for to find it. I've now realised my software version is 3.5b. Yeah my offset was bad. I'll try out the new one.

I'm pretty confident about the ird. I got it from the eng menu, then verified it by jtagging.

Hi guys. I'm still having no joy. I found 2 more offsets for 3.5b/ex-cw. They are 0x0086b9a0 and 0x00f69f60. Both offsets give me the same BK, so I'm pretty sure that this new BK is the right one.

Now when I boot up my 2100c and insert the funcard I get the message "some settings are being updated". After a few seconds the message changes to "sorry, your card is invalid". Is this expected behaviour? I've left the card plugged in for 15 minutes expecting the keys to auto-update, but I still see the same thing. Can anyone help?

might b the flash that u r using , think that u might need to use the chaos flash rather than the crypthex

i had the same problem on the sammy 2110 turned out to be the wrong ird but if ur positive u hav the correct ird and bk then try the chaos v3 for ur area

I did that bit first. I'm fairly confident that my IRD and BK are correct now (thanks to the guys here).
