Hard cam request

Hi guys,

could some please tell me where i can get my hands on a hard cam that i can use on my tt 1500c ci extension board.
im hooked upto v*rgin uk north west.

i dont have the equipment or knowledge to create my own and so am willing to pay some one to create and send one to me that works, and preferably auto updates when the key changes occur.

'hardcam' never heard of this before but using my technisat dvbc card the only thing required for descramballing the signal is 'fenrir' and 'yankse'.

You can get them at loads of places. Just Look for things like JokerCam, ZetaCam etc.....

Have a read through the section to find out which cam other people have tried to use. I can say the JokerCam works fine with either Rom10/11 Mosc or OPOS but others may be able to suggest a better option.

Hardcams have some advantages and some disadvantages.

The main disadvantage is that they cost you money and can be fiddly to set up (although mine just plugged in and worked).

The advantages are that they tend to be more reliable than softcams (if you use a properly programmed Mosc card) and are less likely to fail on a keychange. The hard cams also tend to switch channels much faster than the softcams and also dont require the PC to handle some fairly complex decrypting. The other major advantage is that hardcams will usually work with the application that comes with the card.

cable satellite consoles Smile Thanks, but help still needed

Hi guys,

thank you all for your responses, i know the ups and downs of soft/hard cams etc etc.
But even if i did buy the cam card i still dont know how to program it or have the equipment to do so.

I just want to pay someone for their time and parts so i can just plug it in without the bother.

Thank You again

this is a pretty expensive project that gives no guarantees it will work tomorrow with the cc's finding new ways to disable cards, roll keys etc.
it really is for the hobbyist who enjoys learning how these systems work. The outlay in money necessary to get a system up and running outweighs the subscription charges for about a year assuming it's only free tv you want. Most people on this forum pay a subscription.
it's nice to offer to pay someone who has bought a programmer, cas interface etc, and aquired all the knowledge necessary to get these dvb-c cards working but like i said these methods of emulation may fail at anytime and the challenge is getting them working again which means, probably at some point, you will need some equipment and/or knowledege.
personally i don't mind helping anyone but i wouldn't want to take money off them because there are no guarantees and i like i said i treat it as a hobby.
i'm not too sure you will find anyone who can fulfil all your needs as it's difficult to ensure the system works unless you try it in the relevant hardware.
but good luck you never know.
