Eurovox Max beaten me?
Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me.
I have tried several forums and have received help but it seems either I am doing something wrong or my Eurovox Max (blue 2006) is now dead.
My box was working for a few months with no problems then all of a sudden its stuck in stand by (without the green dashes on the LED).
I have the correct Null cable and also voxer and dnupman with the correct firmware (I think - EUROVOX_MAX_BLUE_BOX_01_06_07) but when I connect it to the PC the PC won’t find it.
Can anyone explain how I do this?
Is this the correct firmware? Do I need to connect the box to the TV/cable feed and then to the PC? Is there a certain way of setting it up or booting it?
I am pretty fed up as I have been trying this for ages and I really like to work things out for myself but I have been beaten on this occasion!
If someone could provide the correct software and firmware with an idiots guide I would be very grateful.
Thanks,
Al

Hi Al, No you do not need to have the box connected to cable feed in order to flash, connect only to PC using Null Modem lead, but it is possible that your box has died on you going off what you say (stuck in standby mode) hope I am wrong, but rather than me putting up a long post, I suggest that you follow the link at the bottom of post, and you will find all the info. you need, beginners guide - software/firmware the lot, all documentation. Hope it helps and good luck.

18th September 2007, 21:43 #3 You only need a pc, null modem cable, voxer and a copy of the February firmware. Connect your null modem to your pc and the other end to your Eurovox box. Start voxer and as the program is searching for the com try switching your Eurovox on/off and see if it finds thebox. Try using another pc in case there is a problem with your com port on the pc.

18th September 2007, 23:05 #4 it sounds if it may need jtaging. its been common problems withe the blue euro as some of them are clones and the firmware is wiping the tsop flash.
