just noticed mine was like that too. didnt know there was an update im still on F5D8231-4_WW_2.01.19
And mine, need an upgrade as well. DOH!!
I'm currently on F5D8231-4_WW_2.01.20 m8. But I've found v3
Is there maybe a tool or something that can be used to update the firmware manually. I know some older routers I've owned had them?
Hi guys has anyone managed how to get a new firmware on?? My browse button will not highlight so i cant get any firmware on it.
Tried a factory reset and its still the same. Also Cannot connect to the firmware information server, when i click the check firmware button i just get .
Cannot connect to the firmware information server,
please double check the wan connection. Wish i had stayed with my netgear to be honest Belkin seems to be a nightmare.
Mine was fine until i put 2.01.19 on it now i'm stuck like i said, no options left cant auto or manualy upgrade.Bloody Belkin knew i shouldnt have been lured in by those sexy blue icons the netgear was dull but worked a treat. lol
I know m8, does look beautiful
Dont it just ,got a bit of a blue led problem need therapy. lol They could put blue leds in just about anything and i would buy it. Mrs hates it ,says it looks like Blackpool in our livingroom. Shes got no taste.lol
goes really well with my other equipment. Black samsung lcd, black xbox, black dvd player, black modem, etc.. Couldnt have gone for anything else. Although looking to move modem and router upstairs now so probably can change now. Thing is i do generally like the router and when its workin it works well. Just wanted to upgrade this blasted firmware.
Goes good with my stuff too. I like the router good looking, good range, nice features, just not reliable drops connection with my sip phones and my laptop sometimes also when i turn different pc's on it sometimes won't dish out a dhcp address. Things i have in the ethernet slots work great dreambox/dbox snapserver lan server etc just the wireless side of things give me grief.
i think the V3 firmware are for the V3 version modems.
For me the upgrade doesnt connect to server either
probably right m8 but still annoying the option to change firmware seems to have gone
Hi guys, first post... I was looking for an update although not got any serious problems with the router.
The version number is to do with the router itself. So for instance I've got hardware version 2 and therefore the firmware update will be 2.something.something, ie 2.01.19. Not sure how the come up with the end digits but I guess you could say the latest version for people with version 2 hardware is 01.19.
I had a look a couple of days ago and it mysteriously allows me to link to select the firmware I want now? odd yeh!
anyway flashed with the firmware below and seems to be much stabler than before
For those of you still having this problemm, I did some quick testing and found the problem was caused by trying to update while connected through wireless. You need to be connected through the lan port to do the upgrade. When connected through the lan port, the button is not greyed out.
excellent will have a check tonight thanks bud
just noticed mine was like that too updated it and it was fine
im sure i checked mine a couple of days ago and now it will allow me to pressed the once greyed out button. ill have to give it a check when get 5mins
tried it last night over a wired connection, working ine and upgraded to latest firmware. Cheers m8
