Have you installed any hardware ? What is the error ? Have you tried uninstalling the devices and re installing them ? Does the bios detect them ok ?

LOL too many questions not enough answers....
If it can't be fixed with duck tape and a hammer then it's electrical

I would start off by uninstalling them in device manager and then re-boot.

Check out their properties, thats why the warning symbols are there to tell you whats wrong.
This should be your first step!

Try removing your IDE controller, restarting and letting windows detect it again.

Check the jumpers on the drives, make sure they not both set to Master if they are on the same IDE cable. If they are on the same cable and the jumpers are correct, try swapping them around. The master disk (or the disk on the end of the cable if they are using the cable select jumper) is the controller. If it's built in disk controller is faulty it will mess up both disks on that channel.
