If you have deleted some files by accident, they will be in the recycle bin, you can restore them from there, you do not need to do system restore.

Can you not restore it to a later date, after you removed all the PC world stuff?

Hi im afraid if the restore points have gone then there is nothing you can do. Its strange cos if you can go back in time you should still have all the restore points from when you got the pc till the point you did the restore. Anyway if it was data you have deleted restore doesn’t touch data it only restores the registry and system files and drivers. If you want to get your data back use a utility like Recover my files it’s very good you will get stuff back from months ago.

I have not seen it mentioned but your system does usually make restore check points, By the sound of it your system isnt doing that. What i do every few days or a week or so is create a restore point, but only if I am happy with the way my system is running. But it still goes to show that you must not delete files if you do not know what they are. If your system is running fine LEAVE THEM BE.
Regards Oddy
