I found myself very bored today & decided to softmod my old xbox (ndure method) this all went fine and is working great . I then decided to make use of a spare 80gig hd i had lying around, this hasn't gone so well!!!

i ftp'd config magic to e/apps & made a backup of eeprom.bin
ftp'd eeprom.bin to pc & put it in linux/eeprom folder in xboxhdm dir
ftp'd C & E to pc & put them in xboxhdm folder
ran make-iso-win & burnt to cdr
rebooted from cd & built new xbox hd from scratch

all went well, but when i try to lockhd it keeps saying cannot find eeprom.bin on cdrom.

Don't know what else to do now except post on here lol

Sounds like you have put it in the right dir make sure the name is correct thats the only thing i can think of

i'll try it again later. Must have tried half a dozen times yesterday (big pile of xboxhdm cdrs!!) i just don't get it.

my xbox wont read a cdr for anything, try it on a dvdr with a file about 150M to bulk it up a bit, rename the spare large file to sommat like kjughiug.eho (make it up)

I had a similar problem when i upgraded my xbox.

Linux is case sensitive on folder and file names

so Eeprom and eeprom are 2 different files or folders

check you have got your folder and file name correct

Thanks for the help guys . I got it sorted next day, hunted high & low for an old floppy drive, put the eeprom on floppy & locked it from there.

On a different note, XBMC is the dogs!!!. If only the 360's dashboard was as good.......
