Not sure about that one m8 but my tv says 625i. I know that's not one of your options and I don't know if it's an actual standard. But it doesn't output HD so I would guess it's 480i/p.

625i is the norm resolution for analogue component and is also acheivable using rgb. 480i is produced using composite.

mmmm bit confused as i read a thread and it said that the picture was far better than using RGB scart......which to me sounds like it upscaled the image......although the connection used was using a scart to component cable.......and from the dream box you can send a component signal through the scart.....

    thanks

If you have a scart cable connected then go through the video settings, i.e. RGB -> S-VIDEO -> YUV, you will see the colours changing. S-Video gives you nothing but if you go right again it shows you a picture but the colours are wrong, so something is switching somewhere.

Actually let me correct myself. 625i is the res acheivable by rgb. Pure analogue component should acheive 675i. This would indicate to me that the component out on the dreambox is thearetically no better than a good quality scart.

You're probably right Mark but to be honest, I've never seen a scart cable as thick as the component cables I have. It may be outputing the same as RGB but the different quality of cables that are available in component over scart makes the picture quality better.
