30th March 2007, 20:19 #2 i did this last week
my mate told me about this ages ago... they have to put it on the car before its valid
if they issue you the ticket and they have not put it on the car they probably dont have pictures and you can argue you want picture evidence because you was not there.

The Police and Wardens allow it and lie in wait
Near Old Trafford every time there's a home game, there's about 6 blokes that charge people £7 to park their cars along the road. There is a signpost clearly stating that you will be ticketed if you are parked there without a permit and every week these guys take £7 off people knowing that when they return to their cars after the match they will have a ticket slapped on their windscreen. We tell the people we see parking there not to do it, and have even seen the wardens riding past on their bikes when people have been parking up. The police were there on Saturday, and didn't say a dickiebird to anyone. They just wait until everyone is parked up and watching the game, and then hit them for when they come back. We park about 500 yards away inside a school yard where it's secure and pay £6.
Not too long ago, the main bloke was seen by us talking to the police...with blood all over his face, so I presume he must have taken the money off the wrong guy oat least once

Wish i'd have seen this post last week-I parked up at 3.25pm and ran into the bank(shuts at 3.30pm)-wasn't in there more than 3 minutes-came out and there's a pr**k with his little pop-pop scooter in front of my car and he's got his computer in his hand-no ticket yet so I start to say "Feck me mate I only went into the bank, I haven't even been away 5 mins-give us a break, he starts telling me the tickets done and that it's an instant ticket on a main road and there's nothing he can do about it-I'm standing there until he rips the ticket off and hands it to me-What a Knobhead, I could have just got in my car reversed and sped off!! Also he had his helmet on at all times, I noticed in another post that they have to be wearing full uniform including hat-is this right?
