yep as posted above hard drive is on its way out.

as its out of a branded pc it will have warenty with dell not the hdd manufacturer.

make sure u back up asap, try keeping it cool, that will help

and a new hdd will be around £40 easy to fit as dell have instructions on there site

Hi mate get a new HD asap. I had the same problem thing is i was hit hard. I had 2 120Gigs on RAID 0. one of the HD started to make a clicking noise I knw what it ment but was too lazy to sort it out. I lost all my life on those Hard disks
Now I run raid but with a backup HD on IDE.

If you get to the stage where your hard drive stops working and you havent backed up your data... Then take the drive out put it in the freezer for about 3-4 hours then set to slave and put in another computer and back up your data. This should give you plenty of time to rescuse your date...

Oh and your hard drive is on its way out, get another one... Might aswell say it too seeing as everyone else said it
